After closing the Othernity project within this year’s Venice Architecture Biennale, the Hungarian exhibition (of which our work is a part of) will be adapted to the spaces of the Ludwig Museum – Museum of Contemporary Art in Budapest. ‘Othernity – Reconditioning our Modern Heritage’ is looking for an answer to the following question: what possibilities does the often disputed and in many ways obsolete heritage of modern architecture hold for the architects of the future?

The curatorial team asked 12 architecture practices from Central and Eastern Europe, with BUDCUD among those, to recondition 12 iconic modern buildings of Budapest, offering a possible way to reconcile past and future architecture. We worked on revitalizing Domus furniture store into multisensory Domus Baths – a spatial play with local tradition and contemporary technology.

The exhibition opens on the 9th of December 2021 at 6 pm and will last till the 16th January 2022.
