Ahoy, adventure! We are happy to announce that Agata Wozniczka will be one of the tutors of the interdisciplinary Shipyard Project workshops in Gdansk.

The area of Gdansk Shipyard is one of the Tri-City’s cultural and entertainment centers, still maintaining some of its industrial functions. Soon the site will experience a dynamic development thanks to the plans for a new district – the Young City. Designers of this unique area will face a number of challenges, which will be the subject of a 9-day workshop for young designers organized by CUMY foundation and SARP Młodzi.

The initiative will engage students, architects and designers in cooperation with representatives of local organizations, residents and owners of the Gdansk Shipyard area. The aim of the workshop is to discuss the adaptation of the former shipyard area and to involve the young generation in shaping the new district. Each group will work under the supervision of recognized designers on solving one of the selected problems in the space, according to the leitmotif of the event: accessibility / orientation / communication. The workshops will end with a presentation of the developed design solutions.

Extracurricular walking tours and open panel discussions will be held thanks to the cooperation of the European Solidarity Centre, the Maritime Historical Foundation, the Gdańsk Shipyard Memory Guard Association, the Institute of Urban Culture and the Shipyard is a Woman application run by the Arteria Association. A detailed schedule and registration options will be published on the event’s Facebook page.
