Reasonable in execution, compact public space in Warsaw city center shows the potential of the city being a sustainable organism, where both potential economical profits and contemporary needs of local communities are equally important.

When building the functional program for the site we thought about ‘the added value’, a bona fide public aspect of space and introduced sport into the given space. Small square at the crossroads of Marszalkowska and Krolewska due to simple design improvements became a multi-functional public space – the new urban sports arena crossbred with passive recreation zone for local elderly and businessmen of nearby office buildings.

The project was made from typical elements only – the simplest and cheapest material of city tissue.
