On Friday, 26 September 2025 at 7:00 PM, we open “Voices from Ukraine. Landscapes” at BWA Wrocław Główny and warmly invite you to the opening. The exhibition presents creative positions of Ukrainian artists in the face of the Russian invasion and the ecocide of local ecosystems.
We designed a scenography that treats fire not only as a destructive force but also as a technique that tempers and protects materials and ecosystems—from spring field-burning and soil enrichment with ash to timber-charring traditions that shield wood from moisture, insects and even fire. Seen through this lens, destruction becomes a potential for renewal; hence the display is composed of charred beams and boards paired with calm display planes. By arranging the timber in strong volumes, the set remains expressive yet unobtrusive, structuring the gallery’s column-filled space and building a narrative backdrop for works shown both within the structures and on the walls.
Curated by Marta Gendera, the exhibition runs through 25 January 2026 at BWA Wrocław Główny. Join us for the opening — more details on the BWA event page.
